• High-resolution sensor for detailed images

The 35mm full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R™ CMOS image sensor with approximately 61.0 million true pixels delivers outstanding sensitivity, resolution, and dynamic range. The advanced BIONZ XR™ image processing engine, which works in real time, delivers natural gradations and true-to-life colors with low noise in photos and videos. With high-resolution, low-noise, and wide dynamic range images, the ILX-LR1 can show the finest details, such as small scratches and cracks, during inspection, investigation, surveying, and mapping operations. A wide ISO range of 100-32000 allows the camera to be used in all kinds of daylight situations.

• Lightweight, adaptable design for remote operations

The ILX-LR1 is designed for industrial applications that don't require a conventional camera body, LCD monitor, viewfinder, grip, multi-interface (MI) shoe, or battery-powered functionality, all in a lightweight, compact design. The weight of the camera body is only 243 g*, while its dimensions are 100 x 74 x 42.5 mm.

Its lower weight translates into longer flight times, and its compact body fits smaller drones, allowing for quick completion of high-altitude filming jobs. Suitable for drone mapping, the 3fps continuous shooting capability allows for quick completion of high-altitude capture and time savings.

• Specific SDK for integration with custom applications

The SONY Camera Remote SDK allows users to remotely control menus and other functions of the ILX-LR1 from their own software applications. By integrating an API into your system, you can control the camera remotely from a computer, allowing you to change your device's settings, activate the shutter, control the live view, and more. With SONY's Camera Remote SDK, user apps can link unique image IDs with the drone's position data in post-processing.

• Built to simplify assembly

The ILX-LR1 accepts DC power for long periods of time to operate without the need to change batteries. It includes power and recording light indicators to visually check its status instantly. The camera's power and control terminal enables low-latency data management for remote applications that require instant response, such as capturing an image at a particular point in time. Through the terminal, a focus and shoot signal from an external system and an exposure output signal from the camera can be sent. Power, exposure output, focusing, and shooting signals can also be sent and received in-camera with a single terminal. To prevent unintentional changes to the camera settings, it has a LOCK switch. Even if this switch is activated, you can still capture photos by pressing the shutter. There are screw holders on each of its six surfaces, while controls and connectors (micro HDMI and USB-C with locking mechanism superior) are grouped together to maximize mounting options.

• Wide variety of E-mount lenses

The ILX-LR1 is an interchangeable lens camera compatible with a wide range of E-mount lenses. Regardless of the nature of the shot, you can select the most suitable lens, including medium-length telephoto lenses. With a 35mm full-frame image sensor and approx. 61.0 true megapixels, a single photo taken from high altitude can replace several photos from a lower-resolution camera.
