With the advanced PTZ auto-framing feature, the camera comfortably auto-tracks the subject with a smooth pan, tilt, and zoom motion, regardless of the subject's posture, scroll, and clothing.

PTZ auto-framing with AI-based analysis

This camera leverages powerful artificial intelligence (AI)-based video analytics that can automatically detect and track a presenter's position within the camera's frame. As the presenter moves, the camera's pan, tilt and zoom mechanism ensures that it is always framed naturally, without the need for a human camera operator to manually follow their movements.

Automatic and reliable video recording

With the new AI analysis algorithm developed by SONY, it detects the skeleton and position of the subject's head and matches its detailed features even when there are multiple people in the frame. Achieve precise framing and constant tracking.

Three recording modes available

The camera has three recording modes: full body, waist and close-up. In each mode, you can adjust the composition of the image (size, top and bottom, and left and right) and the SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 can automatically track and keep the subject in the optimal selected position.

Built-in Tally Indicator

The SRG-A40 and SRG-A12 feature a Tally indicator, just like professional studio cameras. The indicator lights up to give presenters visual confirmation of recording status or show that PTZ auto-framing mode is active. The color of the indicator will change from red (in the air) to green (PTZ auto-framing enabled).

The built-in high-resolution lens offers up to 40x (FHD) or 30x (4K) zoom capability with Clear Image Zoom for the SRG-A40 and 12x for the SRG-A12, with approx. 70° wide-angle coverage to capture every point of view.

Automatically track a person with pan, tilt, and zoom motions, regardless of posture, movement, and clothing, while framing your subject naturally for comfortable viewing.

Predefined Camera Positions

Instantly store and recall up to 256 preset camera positions.

Freeze Image Function

The camera can generate high-quality stills simultaneously while streaming 4K video.

AF, AE and AWB

Autofocus (AF), Auto Exposure (AE) and Auto White Balance (AWB) ensure professional-looking results without the need to manually adjust exposure.

PTZ Motion Synchronization

Pan, tilt and zoom movements are performed seamlessly between predefined camera positions.

PTZ Mode Remote Control

The camera's pan, tilt, zoom and other functions can be fine-tuned using the supplied IR remote control to conveniently control the PTZ functions without the need for additional equipment. It can also be controlled with the optional additional RM-IP500 remote control, just like professional broadcast cameras.
