Features of the SONY 18-105mm f4 OSS lens

Zoom lens provides a focal length range equivalent in 35mm of 27-158mm, covering wide-angle to telephoto perspectives.

Constant f/4 maximum aperture allows for greater consistency across the entire zoom range and benefits working in low-light conditions with longer focal lengths.

Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization works to minimize the appearance of camera motion by up to four stops of shutter speed to benefit pulse shooting in low-light conditions and with higher zoom magnifications.

Two extra-low dispersion elements and three aspherical elements help reduce chromatic aberrations and distortion throughout the zoom range while contributing to overall sharpness and image clarity.

Handycam technology is used, along with a floating axis design, to provide smooth, quiet zoom performance that fits well into movie recording.

Internal zoom and focus design helps maintain a constant lens length with a non-rotating front element to support the use of polarization filters.
