The TAMRON 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 lens covers a wide zoom range of approximately 27mm to 450mm (full-frame equivalent focal length). It is the world's first APS-C mirrorless zoom lens with a 16.6x zoom ratio, and offers all the benefits of a versatile zoom lens giving the user numerous photographic possibilities. Its AF transmission system uses TAMRON 's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focusing mechanism for superior noise reduction and agile performance; The lens includes special elements to deliver high-resolution performance and provide high image quality that positions it among the best all-terrain zoom lenses.

With a MOD (minimum focusing distance) of 0.15m at its widest end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, this lens performs amazingly well when shooting at close objects. It is equipped with TAMRON 's patented VC (vibration compensation) mechanism that enables stable photography even at extreme focal lengths. And it features a unified filter size of 67mm, just like other TAMRON lenses for mirrorless cameras.

The new zoom is protected by its moisture-resistant construction and a fluorine coating designed for outdoor shooting under adverse weather conditions. Its 67mm filter size is identical to the standard 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (Model B070) fast-aperture zoom lens TAMRON for APS-C mount SONY E mirrorless cameras, as well as almost all TAMRON lenses in the mirrorless camera series, which are perfectly suited to APS-C cameras. Compatible with many of the features that SONY built into its cameras, including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF, the lens is packed with features for a comfortable shooting experience.
