TAMRON Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Shiro Ajisaka), a leading manufacturer of lenses for various applications, announces the development of the second generation of its standard high-brightness zoom lens for full-frame mirrorless NIKON Z cameras, the new 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III VXD G2 (model A063).

The TAMRON 28-75mm G2 NIKON Z is the successor to the 28-75mm F/2.8 Di III RXD (Model A063), the renowned zoom lens that has earned high ratings around the world. It is a reflection of the brand's continued evolution and commitment to consumers. Maintaining the compact size of its predecessor, the new 28-75mm F/2.8 G2 for NIKON Z incorporates a new optical construction based on a design that improves image performance and allows its features to be compatible with the latest digital camera models that offer higher resolution. The AF unit, the focusing mechanism of TAMRON's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) motor, has been redesigned to deliver faster focusing speeds and greater accuracy. With a MOD (minimum focusing distance) of 0.18m at its widest end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2.7, the lens boasts high performance in close-up shooting. In addition, it presents a new design, the result of a search for the best ergonomics for an outstanding user experience.
