Taking the classic wide-angle field of view and pairing it with an incredibly fast design, NIKON 's AF-S NIKKOR 24mm f/1.4G ED is a versatile lens for a variety of subjects, ranging from landscape to nature to street photography. The maximum aperture of f/1.4 excels in low-light conditions and also offers greater control over the focusing position to produce images with shallow depth of field. The optical design features two extra-low dispersion elements and two aspherical elements, which minimize a variety of aberrations and distortions to improve clarity and sharpness. A nano crystal coating was also applied to suppress the flash to improve contrast. In addition, the Silent Wave Motor offers fast, near-silent autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override.

• The wide-angle is designed for FX-format NIKON F-format cameras, however, it can also be used with DX models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 36mm.
