SUMMILUX-M 24mm f/1.4 ASPH LEICA lens

With the especially bright lens LEICA SUMMILUX-M 24mm f/1.4 ASPH, reporters have a new tool for their work. Like the 21mm f/1.4 it consists of 10 lenses in eight groups. It was not until the advent of modern "blank-press" methods for aspherical targets that it was not possible to create the new Summilux-M lens.

Color correction has been a great effort for its designers. For this 24mm lens, 5 different types of glass with anomalous partial dispersions have been used. As a result of this, the vignetting and distortion that are practically imperceptible in practice have also been corrected. Even at an aperture of 2.8 only natural vignetting is perceived. The quality of the image is in no case inferior to that obtained with the SUMMILUX-M 1.4 / 21mm ASPH LEICA . The patented rectangular sunshade fits with the FILTERS of the VII series.
