Nikon Z7 II + 24-120mm

By buying NIKON Z7 II you will get improved processing, greater versatility, but familiar in design, the NIKON Z 7II takes everything that was great about the original and further increases its capabilities. With a 45.7MP high-resolution FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 image processors, the NIKON Z7 II camera is clearly aimed at the detail-obsessed imager.

The sensor design of the NIKON Z7 II camera omits the optical low-pass filter for greater detail recording capability and the sensor supports a native sensitivity range of up to ISO 64 for rich and lush capture. The updated processing also produces faster speeds, including an accelerated 10fps continuous shooting speed and a deeper buffer for working with moving subjects. When buying NIKON Z7 II you will be able to capture UHD video 4K 60p is also supported, with the option to record externally in 10-bit using N-Log or HLG (HDR) modes). The sensor also incorporates a 493-point phase detection AF system, which now supports eye detection AF in wide-area AF modes and during movie recording, and allows focusing in low-light conditions down to -4.5 EV. In addition, 5-axis body vibration reduction helps reduce the appearance of camera shake with any lens mounted.

Balancing the images, the Z7 II NIKON camera retains its overall physical design, however, it has been updated with a new dual memory card slot interface to hold a CFexpress Type B card and a UHS-II SD card for more flexible storage. Both the 3.6-million-dot high-resolution OLED EVF and the 3.2" 2.1-million-dot rear tilting touchscreen LCD bring versatility to image composition and playback, and SnapBridge wireless connectivity can be used for remote camera control, sharing images with a mobile device even over-the-air firmware updates.

  • Second generation Z

Improving on its initial efforts, NIKON has revised the Z 7 platform to offer more speed, faster processing and greater versatility without sacrificing the beloved qualities of the original camera.

  1. Dual EXPEED 6 image processors offer higher buffer performance, a faster 10fps continuous shooting speed, and noticeably reduced viewfinder blackout times.
  2. The updated autofocus now includes Eye and Face Detection for both humans and animals in wide-area AF mode, for photo and video recording.
  3. It is now possible to shoot with long exposure time for up to 900 seconds (15 minutes) without the need for an external remote control.
  4. Dual memory card slots offer more flexible file storage capacities; a CFexpress Type B slot and a UHS-II SD slot allow for overflow, segregated and repetitive saving options.
  5. The USB Type-C port allows in-camera charging or continuous power for on-the-fly charging or extended shooting times.
  6. The direction of rotation of the focus ring on the lenses can be changed to suit one's familiarity.
  7. Support for HDR mode (HLG) when recording externally provides instant HDR-compatible video files for immediate playback. N-Log is also available for better control during post-production and sorting.
  8. Eligible for an optional ProRes RAW upgrade, which allows the camera to output ProRes RAW footage to a compatible external Atomos recorder. This update provides greater color classification flexibility with the ProRes codec along with the ability to generate uncompressed 12-bit raw footage via HDMI. This update will be available in early 2021.
  9. SnapBridge wireless connectivity can be used to update the camera's firmware, rather than relying on a memory card-based update system.
  10. Updated creative shooting modes include multiple exposure, 20 different image control settings, and in-camera time-lapse recording. There's also a focus shift mode for recording up to 300 sequential frames with the focus position changed between exposures for focus stacking applications.
  11. Compatible with optional MB-N11 power battery pack for longer battery life and better handling.
  • 45.7MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 processors

A 45.7MP BSI CMOS sensor is used for high-resolution shooting, impressive low-light quality and fast read speeds to benefit continuous shooting, movies and interval recording. The sensor's backlit design offers remarkably clean high-sensitivity output and reduced noise when working at high ISOs, up to native ISO 25600, as well as vivid, smooth quality at sensitivities as low as ISO 64. The sensor design of the NIKON Z7 II camera also omits the conventional optical low-pass filter to achieve the highest sensor sharpness and resolution. The sensor benefits from dual EXPEED 6 image processors, which deliver great speed throughout the camera system, including the ability to shoot continuously at 10fps for up to 50 consecutive frames.

  • 4K UHD video recording

Using sensor and processor attributes for more than just still images, the Z 7II is also a capable multimedia camera. UHD 4K video recording is possible up to 60p and Full HD 1080p video recording also supports up to 120p for slow motion playback. Video files can be saved to the camera's memory cards or as an uncompressed file on an optional external recorder via the HDMI output.

Advanced video functionalities have been added with the Z 7II, including the N-Log range for capturing flat-looking images that maximise dynamic range and HLG (HDR) for recording HDR-ready images. When you buy NIKON Z7 II  you also receive other additions are the ability to generate high-quality 10-bit data via HDMI and an electronic VR function for smooth manual capture. Focus Peaking can be used to benefit manual focus control and a Zebra Stripes option is also available to help detect overexposed areas within the frame. Audio recording can be handled using the built-in stereo microphone or an optional external microphone can be added via the 3.5mm stereo jack for further control over quality, and live monitoring via the headphone jack is possible.

  • 493-point phase detection AF system

Located on the sensor is an array of 493 phase detection autofocus points covering 90% of the image area both vertically and horizontally. This provides fast and accurate focusing for both stills and video and with a wide coverage area, subject tracking will work up to near the edges of the frame. The NIKON Z7 II camera's Hybrid AF is available for video, which will automatically switch between phase detection and contrast systems to provide smooth focusing during shooting. In addition, the latest NIKKOR Z lenses are optimized for quiet operation.

  • Vibration reduction

Vibration reduction with 5-axis in-body sensor shift compensates for up to 5 stops of camera shake regardless of which Z-type lens is being used. This system also works with adapted F-mount lenses, when using the optional FTZ adapter, where 3-axis stabilization is used.
