The AW-UE80 supports PoE++, which allows a single cable to be used for camera power, control, and video transmission.

• Direct drive motor

The AW-UE80 features a direct-drive motor based on PANASONIC 's unique technology that enables quiet and smooth vertical and horizontal travel, with a reduced operating sound of NC25 or lower. The direct drive allows for more possibilities of use of the PTZ, including faster, more precise movements and greater accuracy in the preset positioning, making it the fastest, quietest and most accurate PTZ in PANASONIC.

• Enhanced 4K sensor

The AW-UE80 features a new 1/2.5" 4K MOS sensor that allows you to record stunning UHD videos with True 4K resolution from 1,500 TV lines in UHD. The UE80 supports 3G SDI, HDMI and IP, making it an ideal choice for use in existing HD or 4K workflows thanks to its simultaneous video output feature.

• Lense wide angle

The AW-UE80 features a new wide-angle lense with a 74.1° field of view and 24x optical zoom, allowing you to record a large area from a limited installation space, while maintaining high image quality with high zoom ratios. And it allows recording in large indoor spaces. Intelligent zoom expands its functionalities to 28x in UHD and 36x in Full-HD.

• Optical zoom and image stabilization

Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) have been added to the unit to ensure smooth pan-tilt movements when working in busier environments, or the user moving or the camera being placed, for example, in a robotic system.

• New processor

The AW-UE80 features a powerful new processor, which greatly improves the responsiveness of the PTZ camera and allows more video processing operations to be performed for higher image quality and lower output latency.

• 4K and HD analog outputs

The AW-UE80 supports 4K 50p/60p video recording at 3840 x 2160 for professional, high-quality recording of moving images, as well as a wide variety of output interfaces, such as 3G-SDI, HDMI and IP, which can be activated simultaneously for HD and 4K workflows.

• New NDI, SRT and IP outputs

It also includes a wide variety of IP transmission protocols available right out of the box, such as NDI*1, NDI|HX version 2 and SRT*2. The high-bandwidth NDI protocol allows Full HD video to be transmitted up to 100 Mbps.

The AW-UE80 also incorporates the NDI|HX version 2 is a low-bandwidth, high-efficiency version 2, which enables video transmission at low data transfer rates. In both cases, only a single LAN cable is needed.

It also supports the Secure Reliable Transport (SRT*2) protocol to maintain stability while streaming high-quality video, even in unstable network environments, and enables the distribution of video over the public internet securely and reliably. SRT offers encryption, and lost packets are automatically detected and forwarded.

RTMP/RTMPS*4 make it easy to stream directly to live streaming services such as YouTube Live and Facebook Live directly from the camera.

• FreeD protocol support for virtual and augmented reality applications

Like the AW-UE150 and AW-UE100, the AW-UE80 includes FreeD*5 support to enable connection with AR/VR systems*6. FreeD*5 allows camera tracking information (pan/tilt/zoom/focus/aperture) to be sent along with a sync signal to easily set up systems without the need for an encoder.

• New web interface and simplified workflows

A new web interface has been introduced so that professional operators working in darker environments can easily navigate the advanced graphical user interface for operators.

Panasonic offers a whole system of solutions that allows the new PTZ cameras to be seamlessly integrated into existing camera systems. This includes the use of remote camera controllers, PTZ Control Center centralized control software, and auto-tracking software for presentations and conferences, enabled by facial recognition and human body detection.
