More Info. Lumix S1

The main features of the LUMIX S1 camera are as follows:

Designed for high-quality professional photography and video, the new LUMIX S1 is built around the large-diameter L-Mount mount, offering all the benefits of a high-sensitivity full-frame sensor. The 24.2-megapixel CMOS is the heart of the new LUMIX S1. Equipped with excellent image stabilization and powered by a new Venus Engine processor, the camera reaches the highest standards in photography, as well as offering advanced video recording with sharper details. To capture the precise moment, the photographer can frame the image using the world's highest resolution electronic viewfinder* 1 with unparalleled clarity through a 5.76 million dot OLED display. Single-lens mirrorless digital camera, as of February 1, 2019. High resolution, high sensitivity

The LUMIX S1 Full-Frame Mirrorless Camera uses a 24.2 million pixel CMOS sensor (size 35.6 x 23.8 mm) that provides a wide dynamic range and excellent signal-to-noise ratios with high ISO values. Its efficient pixel design, combined with the high-power Venus Engine processor, allows standard ISO configurations to reach an ISO range of 51,200. When higher resolution is needed, high-resolution mode can be used to create images with 96 million pixels. Thanks to its body image stabilization mechanism, 8 consecutive images are automatically captured with a small movement of the sensor. These 8 images are synthesized into a single image with the Venus Engine, which features high-speed signal processing. The system makes small compensation adjustments to the sensor position. The result is a 12,000 x 8,000 pixel RAW file packed with information. One of the features of the high-resolution mode is the option to suppress motion blur.

Dual I.S 2 Image Stabilization System for Incredible Vibration Compensation Its 5-axis Dual I.S. Image Stabilization System compensates for the effects of camera vibrations to make shutter speeds up to 5.5 times slower than usual usable*1 .

Combined with the 2-axis O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) on the LUMIX S series lenses, this dual I.S. 2 image stabilizer increases the compensation level up to 6 points and works to eliminate the effects of unwanted camera movements in both still photography and video*3 . Using sophisticated technology, vibrations are not only measured by a gyroscopic sensor, but also information from the sensor itself and the accelerometer that incorporates the camera sensor is used. To help photographers reduce camera vibrations, a spherical image stabilization status indicator has been added that shows a graphical interpretation of motion.

Ultra-fast, high-precision focusing
Combining PANASONIC 's unique DFD contrast detection technology with ultra-fast processing, a focusing system that delivers speed and accuracy is achieved. To achieve extremely fast and accurate focusing, the Venus Engine, CMOS sensor and new LUMIX S lenses communicate at 480 fps, allowing the system to react in 0.08 seconds*1. Autofocus works up to light levels as low as -6 EV. Autofocus tracking has been improved by Artificial Intelligence

Advanced that detects people, cats, dogs and birds. Determining which subject is helps anticipate movement patterns and allows autofocus to keep the subject in focus even with its back to the camera. Facial recognition, which detects eyes and pupils, ensures that portraits are properly in focus. For fast-moving situations, the LUMIX S1 is capable of shooting up to 9fps at AFS or 6fps with continuous focus. 6K mode allows shooting of JPEG images of 18 million pixels at 30fps, while 4K mode offers sequences of 30 or 60 fps with a resolution of 8 megapixels.

4:3 or 3:2 with approximately 6K/18 megapixels or 4K/8 megapixel resolution. High-resolution viewfinder and high-quality display The world's highest resolution digital viewfinder*1 provides photographers with unparalleled clarity through the 5.76 million dot OLED display. The Real View Finder refreshes the image up to 120 fps with a virtually non-existent delay of just 0.005 seconds to realistically and fluidly capture the movement of subjects in action. The resolution of the screen, with a contrast of 10,000:1, guarantees a detailed and high-clarity vision. The viewfinder can be adjusted to magnitudes from 0.78x to 0.74x or 0.7x for total photographer comfort.

The 3.2-inch touchscreen contains 2.1 million pixels, and is made up of a triple-axis monitor, which allows you full movement to get the best viewing angle at all times. Night Mode, Live View Boost, and backlit buttons help work in low-light conditions, and the camera's superior plate incorporates the largest LCD*1 display in its class to keep the photographer informed of shooting settings at a glance.

Professional video features
The LUMIX S1 offers filmmakers exceptional video quality and a wide range of tools to take complete creative control of their images. It enables 4K video recording up to 60/50p*1, while full pixel reading is achieved at 30p for clean, detailed images. When using total sensor area, the focal length of the optics is maintained and allows for creative possibilities with extreme depth of field control.

The camera offers a wide range of contrast curves, including industry standards such as Cinelike D/V and Like709. To improve post-production, the new linear mode with less contrast and saturation offers versatile use. In addition, the new Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG)* 2 profile allows you to record in an even wider dynamic range with very vivid colors (Like2100) to mimic the characteristics of the human eye. The new LUMIX S1 allows recording in 4K video up to 60/50p 4:2:0 in 8 bits directly to the SD or XQD card. 4:2:2 color sampling can be taken out via HDMI. PANASONIC will separately provide a software key to unlock the option to record in 4K at 60/50p 4:2:2 10-bit via HDMI output and 30p/25p/24p at 4:2:2 10-bit in 2019. This update will also incorporate the V Log, which will provide the LUMIX S1 with the industry-leading dynamic range. Time constraints apply to 4K/60p and high-speed video streams, however, they can be recorded at 4K/30p and Full HD with no time limit*3. High-speed video allows for 2x slow motion at 60fps in 4K and slow motion up to 6x in Full HD with frame rates of up to 180fps.

The line input supports a 3.5mm microphone jack, while audio can be monitored using the 3.5mm headphone port. For advanced audio quality, you can use the DMW-XLR1 adapter, which allows you to connect professional XLR microphones.

The main features of the

Panasonic S 24-70mm lens
A contemporary version of the classic standard fast zoom, the Lumix S PRO 24-70mm f/2.8 PANASONIC is an L-mount short-angle to short-angle telephoto lens that is characterized by its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture and sophisticated optical design. Aspherical, UHR and ED elements are used to produce well-corrected images with high sharpness, accurate color rendering and remarkable clarity in zoom and focus ranges. Complementing the optics is a dual-focus system, which uses a linear motor and a stepper motor, to provide especially fast and accurate focusing performance. In addition, the lens has a weather-sealed design for use in harsh conditions and an 11-blade rounded diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality with smooth transitions between the focused and out-of-focus regions of the image.

  • The standard zoom is designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras, however, it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length range of 36-105mm.
  • The bright constant maximum aperture f/2.8 maintains constant illumination throughout the zoom range and offers greater control over depth of field.
  • Three aspherical elements and an ultra-high refractive index element help minimize distortions and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range to maintain sharpness and illumination from edge to edge.
  • Four extra-low dispersion elements greatly reduce chromatic aberrations and color stripes to produce a high degree of clarity and color accuracy.
  • A dual-focus system employs a linear motor and stepper motor to deliver impressively fast, accurate and quiet autofocus performance.
  • The manual focus clutch allows you to simply push or pull the focus range to quickly switch between AF and MF focus modes.
  • Splash, dust and freeze proof design works in adverse weather conditions down to -14°F.
  • The rounded diaphragm of 11 blades contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality.
