G lenses have been manufactured to the highest requirements and individually tested to ensure that each and every unit meets the same high standards of image quality and creative control.

AA (Advanced Aspherical) precision elements, super ED glass and anti-reflective nanocoating combine in an advanced optical design to deliver high resolution across the entire image area regardless of focal length. A 9-blade circular aperture expands the expressive possibilities of the lens by contributing to a wonderful background bokeh effect with natural light spots.

This compact and lightweight E-mount zoom lens offers maximum mobility and balance in α7 Series bodies. Internal focusing is also an advantage, keeping the lens length constant for better overall lens handling.
